Ashcraft Studios attending this year's annual Gearfest in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Hosted by the nation's top selling online musical retailer, Sweetwater, the festival stands to showcase the latest and greatest in musical instruments, gear and equipment. This year's event took place June 21-22 at the retailer's headquarters. This year the festival saw more than 15,000 attendees from all over the United States where they saw over 500 manufacturers offering hands on demonstrations and free stuff. The Ashcrafts have been loyal customers to Sweetwater for years. They were amazed to see the gigantic warehouses where their gear shipped from. CEO of Ashcraft Studios, Jules Ashcraft states, "The warehouse is massive... They are the # 1 music distribution company and they really know their stuff." In addition to all of the vendors and free swag, Gearfest also offered a variety of free shows and workshops in appreciation of its customers. Jules and Stanford saw Ricky Scaggs and Kentucky Thunder play together. A live stream of the event and others throughout the weekend are available on the retailer's website. Other highlights of the even include the Ashcraft's purchase of a new Supro 25W amp and a visit with Johnny Cash's tour bus. Outside of the even Jules and Stanford really enjoyed their hotel, Don Hall's Guesthouse. They booked an Elvis themed room and they were not disappointed. Great customer service and quality rooms at reasonable prices made their stay particularly enjoyable. Don Hall's Guesthouse offers "spacious business, family and pet friendly hotel rooms" and a variety of vacation packages providing visitors with both lodging and entertainment. Its definitely work checking out if you're in the area.
Overall the Studio's visit to Gearfest was a blast. They saw a lot and learned a lot. Looking forward to next year!
