Stanford Lee and Eric played to a great crowd at the Undiscovered Artist Showcase at MadLife Stage and Studios in Woodstock, Georgia. The duo brought in a good crowd of friends and family, as did the other performing artists. Together the two rocked the house with "Small Towns" and "Back on the Honkeytonk Road."

Although the pair didn't make it to the MadLife finals, Stanford Lee had fun stating "MadLife was great! It was a good opportunity to perform and bring a crowd."

Country western singer and songwriter Stanford Lee recently release a new single entitled "Country Western Band." The song boasts a strong honkeytonk sound with an irresistible beat that you cant help but bop around to. Detailing the ups and downs of traveling on the road and playing small town dives, the song is an anthem for every musician seeking fame.

You can see Stanford Lee perform Country Western Band live at the Undiscovered Artist Showcase at MadLife Stage and Studios in Woodstock, Georgia on Wednesday September 25, 2019. He will be performing 2-3 three of his favorite songs and compete against other local bands for a shot at the quarterly finals, cash prize, and future paid gigs at the venue. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Votes are calculate by crowd cheers so be prepared to shout!

Stanford Lee will also be joined by long time friend and talents musician, Eric. The two have a long history together including their collaboration with the indie rock group Ashcraft. Eric's talents in vocals, drums, and songwriting have been a proven asset to Stanford Lee and the Ashcraft Studio family. He will be supporting Stanford Lee on drums and backup vocals during the showcase.

The music industry mourns the loss of another star. Responding to a call at around 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon regarding an "unconscious male," the NYPD identified the victim as Ric Ocasek and pronounced him dead on site. The cause of death has not been determined although it appears to have been of natural causes. Ocasek was found by estranged ex-wife Paulina Porizkova.

A notable musician, producer, and painter, Ocasek is best known for his work with The Cars from 1978 to 1988. Hits from that group include "Good Times Roll," "Just What I Needed," and "My Best Friend's Girl." The group disbanded in 1988 and Ocasek resurfaced two years later with solo album Fireball Zone.

We have lost another great in Rock N Roll Hall of Famer Rick Ocasek of The Cars. Ric and I actually used to be neighbors for a time when we lived in the Hollywood Hills. Ric had a very unique voice for rock n roll, there was just nothing complicated about it and that really gave The Cars an edge on the radio. They spearheaded a simplistic new wave of minimalist rock alongside producer Roy Thomas Baker, much to the delight of car stereos and fans everywhere. Condolences to his family and many fans. We'll miss ya man.

Stanford Lee recently released his first single, Back on the Honkeytonk Road (Bakersfield Mix). The song describes the life of a musician travelling on the road playing in small down bars and venues. You can hear the song on Soundcloud today.
